Mr. Reed focuses his practice on insurance defense, personal injury, civil litigation, and business issues. He has extensive litigation experience in personal injury cases serving as both defense counsel and plaintiff's counsel. Mr. Reed also represents individuals in various other types of civil litigation. Mr. Reed's extensive business and commercial law practice involves advising businesses in all types of commercial litigation, transactions, contract preparation and negotiation, business entity formation, business purchases, mergers and sales, real estate transactions, local zoning applications and compliance, commercial tax abatement, and tax increment financing.

Mr. Reed joined the firm in 2005 after serving for five years in the United States Air Force Judge Advocate General Corps. During his active duty service he represented the interests of the Air Force in a variety of matters. He also spent two years as the Charleston Air Force Base Area Defense Counsel where his sole focus was representing airmen in courts-martial, discharge boards, and other adverse administrative proceedings. Mr. Reed presently continues to serve as a Judge Advocate in the United States Air Force Reserves.

Mr. Reed is involved in the local community where he serves as the President of the Board of Directors of the Shelby Community Health Center, Inc.
